The Kiwanis Club's Parade today has been cancelled due to incliment weather. There will be an event at Crofton Elementary School instaed starting at 10 AM. There will be bands and a costume judging contest.

The Kiwanis Club of Crofton will be holding their 35th Annual Halloween Parade on Sat., Oct. 29, 2011. The parade starts at 11 AM at the Crofton Woods Elem. School and travels around Crofton Parkway to Crofton Elem. Crofton Pkwy. will be closed from 11 AM until about Noon. Come out and enjoy the parade!

The annual Armed Forces-Homeland Security Parade will be held on Crofton Parkway from Crofton Woods Elem. to Crofton Elem. on May 7, 2011 at 10 AM. Please use care on Crofton Pkwy from 0800 until 1130 as there will be road closures and many pedestrians in the area for the parade.

The Crofton Kiwanis will be holding their annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11 AM. The parade will commence at Crofton Woods Elmentary and travel around Crofton Pkwy to Crofton Elementary. Expect some traffic disruption during the event. Maryland's new Hands Free Cellphone Law went into effect on Oct 1, 2010. You may only use a hands free celphone device while driving and you may not text while driving. The Crofton Police Department reminds you to drive safely and keep distractions to a minimum while operating a vehicle.

The AA County Volunteer Firefighters Parade will be held in Crofton on Sat., Sept. 11, 2010. The parade will begin at 10 AM and will travel from Crofton Woods Elem. around Crofton Pkwy. to Crofton Elem. There may be some related traffic delays so please be patient. Please come out and join us this Saturday.

The Crofton Kiwanis and Team Surlis will be hosting their 22nd annual 10 K Run on Saturday, June 12, 2010. The run starts at 8 AM and will travel around the Parkway, so expect some traffic delays and watch out for the runners. The run should be over by about 10 AM.

May is Cllick It or Ticket Month. The Crofton Police Department encourages everyone to buckle up and drive safely. Police Departments across Maryland will be diligent in enforcing seat belt laws.

On May 1, 2010, 4 juveniles robbed another juvenile of his bicycle at knifepoint at Parkridge Circle and Rt. 424. Officers responded and all 4 suspects were located and arrested, and were charged with robbery, assault and theft.

This Saturday, May 1, 2010, the Crofton Civic Association will be holding their annual Homeland Security and Armed Forces Parade on Crofton Parkway. The parade will begin at 10 Am and will start at Crofton Woods Elementary School and will travel around the Parkway to Crofton Elementary. The parade is expected to last about an hour. Please expect traffic delays during the parade and please be patient.

The Crofton Town Club will be having their Craft Fair at the Country Club Lot located on Crofton Parkway on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 10 AM until 4 PM, rain or shine. As this event is usually well attended, please expect to have additional vehicle traffic and pedestrians walking near the main entrance of Crofton Parkway and Crawford Blvd. Please drive carefully and watch for pedestrians.

The Crofton Police Department has received information that there have been thefts from autos occurring in the area of Crofton Woods near Wickham Way and Chainbridge Court. It appears the thefts have occurred to unlocked vehicles. The Crofton Police Department reminds you to lock your vehicle and keep valuables out of sight or out of your vehicle.
