The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be performing a TEST of the Wireless Emergency Alert System (WEA) in the form of a cell phone alert message at 2:18 p.m. this afternoon. Please be aware that this is ONLY a test. FEMA will also make a test of the better known Emergency Alert System (EAS) over TV and radio at the same time.

Parking Lot 18 on Front Street behind the old Front Street Tavern will be closed from 4pm on Friday, September 28th, to 4pm on Sunday, September 30th for UMF Friends and Family Weekend. If you are a residential student, please move your vehicle to Parking Lots 21 or 22 on Prescott Street. Thank you for your cooperation.

No ID tags or library card. He is older...likely a 5th year senior. Hoping to reunite him with his parents. Please help!

South Street in Farmington will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 in support of the University of Maine at Farmington Friends and Family Weekend. We are expecting an increase of vehicle and pedestrian traffic this weekend so if you are visiting the downtown Farmington area please use caution. Please share this information and thank you very much for your cooperation.

Be like Dwight. When you hear a fire alarm, quickly and calmly leave the building. Do not re-enter the building unless given the all clear from the fire dept or Public Safety. Today’s fire alarm in Mallett demonstrated that we could use a refresher.

We are still looking to hire Security Escorts, this is a work study position. If your interested please stop by the Public Safety Office, fill out a student employment application and have a resume ready.

This week is the last week of leniency for vehicles in a UMF lot without a decal. Decals can be obtained at Public Safety Monday thru Friday 8-4. Parking is limited! Show your decal so we know that your vehicle belongs on Campus. Thank you!

Just a friendly reminder, all UMF community members must obtain a UMF Parking Decal in order to park in UMF Parking Lots. You can obtain your decal at the Public Safety Office (behind Stone Hall) Monday thru Friday, 8am - 4pm. We will be conducting parking enforcement and issuing parking tickets, effective Monday, September 10th so please don't delay and get your decal! Thank you for your cooperation.

We have had multiple motor vehicle burglaries, please ensure you don't store valuable items in your vehicle, lock your vehicle doors at all times when not in use and check your vehicle daily to ensure it is secure and operational. Thank you for your cooperation and please spread the message.
