We wish a speedy recovery to the Officers involved in the collision. At this time one is still recovering in the hospital but is in stable condition. This is a tragic circumstance but we want to remind people to drive safely at all times. Please be aware of your surroundings, remain vigilant, and always remember to get over and/or stop for emergency vehicles.

If anyone has information regarding the vandalism that occurred on one of the disc golf holes in Flaherty Park, please call or message us. Your help is greatly appreciated.

The Watervliet Police Department now has a call box outside the P.D. main entrance. Pushing the button will put you in direct contact with Berrien County Dispatch, where you can then request an Officer.

The Watervliet City Police Department has several gun locks that we'd like to disperse to members of the community. Come on down to City Hall during normal business hours and pick one up! We want everyone to have a great time but also to be safe. Also, there is no over night parking on any street in the city. This will be enforced more now that the plows are out trying to remove snow. On 09/13/2017, the Watervliet City Police Department arrested a subject connected to multiple vehicle break-ins throughout the area. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and support as we attempted to locate the individual responsible. It is still wise to take all valuables out of your vehicle and keep them locked. The first day of school is right around the corner! Crossing Guards should be out to help with traffic in front of the High School/Middle School, North Elementary, and South Elementary. However, please be mindful of students walking to school/crossing the road. Also remember to stop for all School Buses when they have their flashing lights on.
