A Big thank you to Southwestern Michigan College Jerdon Hall RA's for having Officer Roman and Tole of the Dowagiac Police Department, and our partners Nellie and Deputy Graves from the Cass County Sheriffs Office out for a K9 demonstration last night. We had a great time talking to the students/dorm residents about drug use and police K9's and their capabilities. We can't wait to come back and visit again!!!

We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to Tom Starks for donating these important life-saving pieces of equipment to the Dowagiac Police and Fire Departments. Thanks to the Starks family our entire community will benefit from the new AED's. We are proud to partner with the Starks family to keep our community safe and proud to serve our community.

SMC students got to experience "Fatal Vision Goggles" today at Campus Bash. The experience of wearing the Fatal Vision Googles should help you remember how it feels to be out of control. Tell others what happens if they drink and drive. Speak up now while you're young. There's NO choice, DONT DRINK AND DRIVE!

The Dowagiac Police Department will bow our heads in prayer today for the men and woman who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and the many who are still fighting to keep our country safe #NEVERFORGET#STAYSAFE
