Bellevue Police Department News

** REMINDER **

We wish to thank the Bellevue First Baptist Church for showing their appreciation for us with the presentation of this beautiful plaque to the Bellevue Police Department. It certainly means a lot that you took the time to recognize our efforts to keep this fine community safe. May God bless you all and watch over each of you.

Please be safe and don't drink and drive.

Our Broncos return to school on Monday. We would like to remind drivers of the importance of stopping for school buses on the roads. In addition to speed this is the leading cause of injuries to our children coming from and going to school. Let's all be extra careful and please follow the law.

We have been receiving numerous complaints about speed in different areas around town. To address those concerns monitoring and enforcement will be taking place in the next several weeks

We were lucky enough to be able to spend some time with some of our youngest community members recently. Bellevue United Methodist Church hosted a Bike Rodeo and Give A Way which was well attended. The police department was able to register all the bikes, perform safety inspections and give some lessons in bicycle riding safety. A good time was had by all and we wish to thank the church and the community for this great opportunity.

The trooper said the assailant, dressed head to toe in winter camouflage, was lying in wait after leaving a piece of wood in the woman's driveway while she was on her way to work. "She had to stop and she got out of her car and she moved it out of the way. She went back into her car and then she was attacked from behind and she was assaulted with a weapon," ..... as the trooper said, ALWAYS call 911. We would rather go to a call that you may think is “not a big deal” than to have something like this go unreported. If 911 is called and the call gets disconnected, 911 WILL call back and follow through. Please watch your surroundings and those of your loved ones.

Please don’t do this!!

Please be sure your and your loved ones are signed up. ❤️ this post if you are. Pass this on.
