We would like to make our residents aware that today(Wednesday) 10/3, you’ll get a test emergency alert message on your phone at 2:18 PM EDT. This is a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert system. Please help share this reminder. What to expect: 🔸 You’ll hear a loud tone & vibration. 🔸 A message box will pop up on the screen and will show a message that starts with “THIS IS A TEST” and ends with “No action is needed.” 🔸 If you’re watching TV or listening to the radio, you may also see or hear a test message around the same time. This nationwide test is to ensure that during a major national emergency affecting public safety, it will be possible to alert people quickly. FEMA and the Federal Communications Commission will be evaluating the readiness of the emergency alert infrastructure to see if improvements are needed. For more information, please visit

As part of our ongoing dedication to crime prevention for our community, we have set up a Bicycle Registration that is available online for the benefit of our residents. Bicycle Registration helps return found bicycles to their owners who have either lost them or had them stolen. Bicycles are one of the items that are lost the most. Simply complete the form, and if we encounter your bicycle, we can check our records and return your bike! We will also be providing the option for on-site registration at the upcoming Bike Rodeo at Pine Ridge!

UPDATE: Sammy has been returned home and is interested in applying to the Police Force.

We have made it easier for our residents to request a vacation watch for their home by making the form accessible online! You can visit our website, fill out the form, and submit it to us! You can find the form at

Good Morning Pet Detectives! This guy is wandering on Charles Drive looking for a date. If you know the owners please contact us.

On this day... 17 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted. #wewillneverforget

It’s back to school tomorrow! Just a friendly reminder to watch your speed in the school zones. Officers will be out tomorrow monitoring traffic.

Monday August 27, 2018 at the Argentine Township board meeting Officer Paul Honkanen received a departmental Commendation for his assistance in delivering a baby that wasn't going to wait for any ambulance or hospital. The call for service happened in July but a well deserved award to an officer who had to find the woman with an address that ended up being just in to Shiawassee county. We can prepare for our shifts but you never know what will ultimately happen. Great job Officer Honkanen!!! You made our departments proud.

We may be regretting signing up for this.
