#Spartans, are you ready for today’s football game? Here are some game day tips to help you prepare.

This is an MSU ALERT from the Michigan State University Police Department regarding the City of East Lansing. At or near East Lansing the Michigan State University Police report; East Lansing Police report shots fired in the 500 Blk of MAC. Suspect 1 is described as a Black Male wearing a red sweat shirt. Suspect 2 is a Black Male, 6'2" wearing a blue hoody, jeans, and white shoes. Last seen leaving the area south on foot. Call 911 if you see anything suspicious Sent at 01:57:30 on 10-27-2018

Spartan Stadium is being evacuated due to lightning within 15 miles of Spartan Stadium. Please seek appropriate shelter away from Stadium. Shelters are ramps, IM West, Munn and Wells Hall.

Today, the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Crackdown begins. Across the state, law enforcement agencies will be participating in this campaign to get drunk drivers off the road. The crackdown will run through November 4.

MSU Police Department has added some new cargo to the patrol vehicles. In the event an officer encounters a child during a traumatic event, the officer can provide the child with a stuffed animal as a form of comfort. Officers are trained to respond to traumatic incidents but the comfort of a stuffed animal may assist with going through such a difficult time.

We have received many questions about a post on Facebook regarding a woman asking to use a student’s phone on campus which led to questions if this was an act of human trafficking. MSU Police Department has taken one non-criminal report regarding this incident and at this time there is no threat to the community based on the information provided in the report.
