As Deputy Vosters was enroute to the jail, the suspect attempted to kick the window out. Deputy Vosters stopped the patrol car and attempted to restraint the suspect. During the altercation, Deputy Vosters received minor injuries. Rives Convenience Store Burglary On October 25, 2018 shortly after 3am deputies from the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff responded to 3700 Rives Eaton Rd, Dandy Randy’s Convenience store for a property security check. Upon arrival deputies saw that the front window had been broken. Deputies searched the building and found a burglary had occurred. It appeared that mostly lottery tickets and cigarettes had been stolen. When the suspect fled the building he dropped some personal identifying information which led investigators to the suspect. The suspect was contacted and interviewed and an accomplice was identified as well. Some of the stolen property taken was recovered from the suspects. Both suspects are juveniles and were released to their parents. Petitions are being sought through the Jackson County Prosecutors Office.
