We have just been advised that the MSHS Homecoming parade and Varsity Football game has been cancelled. The Homecoming Parade has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 11am. The MSHS Homecoming Football game has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 1pm.

Marquette City Police Youth Services Officer Dawson is pictured with some of the students at the Marquette Alternative High School. Officer Dawson partnered with the FORCODY organizers recently in getting several helmets donated for students to use while riding on the bike track located behind the school. The FORCODY organization was formed after a local young man, Cody Revord, passed away from injuries sustained in a snowboarding accident in which he was not wearing a helmet. The FORCODY theme is to WEAR your helmet...not just most of the time, but EVERY TIME! A big Thank You to them for the donation to help keep our students safe!

Officers from the Marquette Police Department, Marquette PD K9 Nitro and Marquette PD Dive Team along with the United States Coast Guard participated in the annual Facilities Security Plan Exercise in the Lower Harbor.

As a motorist, when do you have to Stop for a School Bus with the lights activated?

The Marquette Police Department is seeking information from any witness who saw a vehicle-pedestrian collision which occurred at South Front Street and Genesee Street on Tuesday, September 4th 2018 at approximately 3:35 pm. A dark-blue or black extended-cab pickup truck was involved in the collision and left the scene prior to making a report to police. Anyone with information about the pickup truck or it's occupants is asked to contact the Marquette Police Department at (906) 228-0400 or send a private message.

The Marquette Police Department advises motorists that sections of Division Street and Pioneer Road are closed due to flood conditions. Please follow detour routes or pick alternative routes while traveling.
