As the new school year begins we would like to remind everyone to use caution while driving in the neighborhoods. Also, one of the common issues we hear about are those who disregard school buses while loading or unloading our kids, Hopefully the attachment will answer those questions. Please be aware there will be increased traffic enforcement. So if I keep track of the tickets given ( in school areas) for one week anyone want to guess how many will be written? The winner can host a " Cop on the Block." anywhere within GC.

Good afternoon GC. We are at the Garden City Schools, Bounce Back to School event until 7:00pm today. Stop by Douglas elementary and say hello.

Our newest bike patrol officer had his first pursuit on a bike today . Good job Officer Lewis on catching that two year old who exited the rodeo course and kept on riding. ( see first picture ) Does it still count , hmmm ? A big thank you to all who attended. We enjoyed spending time teaching bike safety.

The turnout was great and everybody was happy to meet with some of our officers and our K-9 Rudy.
