More Trunk or Treat!

Trunk or Treat 2018 Moose Lake City Park!

With Halloween approaching us tomorrow, the vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be up, and just like every other holiday season, residents should stay alert and cautious while driving or picking up treats. Please make sure the whole family crosses intersections at crosswalks, that children stay in groups and that any small children always be accompanied. Please be extra cautious traveling in neighborhoods. 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. are the most popular times for trick-or-treating. Please remember slow down and be alert! If you see something that concerns you, please do not hesitate to call 911.

The scams are in various forms, such as claiming the person owes taxes to the IRS or has outstanding warrants. They will try get your social security number from you, your bank account information and even want you to go purchase I-tunes cards. The Moose Lake Police Department advises people who receive one of these scam messages, to simply disregard it and do not respond to these calls. Never give out financial or credit card information or agree to send any kind of payment if you are not sure of the person or agency with whom you are talking.
