Despite common lore, a cat in a tree is typically not an emergency requiring a rescue from the fire department. In this case the cat climbed a tree while dragging its leash and the leash became tangled preventing the cat from ever being able to come down on its own. A huge thanks to the Brainerd Fire Department and Firefighters Rosier and Flowers.

New this year to the Halloween Safety event is a coloring contest & a chance to win a plush McGruff toy. Print attached photo or pick up a flyer at the BPD. Be sure to check out the Brainerd Police Department Facebook page on November 1st to see if you are the winner!
