The Advocacy Center for the County has brand new faces, a new location, and fresh new start. Soon our new office will be at 809 East 4th, Suite C, in Columbus, replacing the 4th floor office of the Courthouse. Clean and very spacious, the new office is located behind Sports Hut in the metal building which houses two other offices. We will share our suite with DSVS, Domestic & Sexual Victim Services, and will be able to accomplish great things and provide needed services for our victims and clients. The State of Montana, Board of Crime Control, has generously gifted our program with a grant to partially fund operations and equipment/furnishings. But red tape slows down the process. So, this is your opportunity to help! We need EVERYTHING – living room furniture, dining room furniture, office furniture, lamps, rugs, dishes, and more. The space is large, so if you have it to give away, we can probably use it. It won’t be long term, and we may sell it or regift it in a month or two, so don’t want you to be offended if we do –eventually, we will have all new stuff and décor! But to get us started in our new office space, contact me if you have something we might be able to use. and

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jame's family, friends and all those who have been part of this difficult situation.

The Stillwater County Sheriff’s Office received numerous reports of vehicles that had items stolen from them and tires that were damaged in Park City overnight. If you live in Park City, please check your vehicles and report any missing items to us by calling the Sheriff’s Office at (406) 322-5326. Also please check all of your vehicle tires for damage. There is a possibility that sidewalls may have been damaged but not completely punctured. Make sure they are safe before you drive your vehicles. The incidents are under investigation and we anticipate appropriate charges being filed in the near future.

Our hearts and prayers are with the family and friends and all those searching.

Thursday 06/21/2018 1700 On Thursday June 21, 2018, The Stillwater County Sheriff’s Office, Stillwater County Search and Rescue, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, and K-9 teams from Western Montana Search Dogs, and Absaroka Search Dogs resumed the search on the Yellowstone River for Brandon Fitch who went missing in the early morning hours of Saturday June 16, 2018. Searchers and K-9 teams worked from the shore and from boats in the water and believe they have narrowed down an area where Fitch may be located. Authorities are exploring options with certified divers to confirm the location and attempt a recovery. Currently river conditions are still hazardous and safety is a concern. We would like to thank all the private citizens and pilots who have donated their time and resources to assist in the search. We will continue to release information as it becomes available.
