Today, the Williams County Sheriff's Office would like to congratulate Sheriff Kvande on being elected. Our office and community are lucky to have him. Also, we would like to throw out a huge thank you to Mandy at Northland Graphics for donating the sign!!

The Williams County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Grand Williston Hotel for putting on the free dinner for first responders. Pictured below is Corporal Olson, Deputy Nelson and Deputy Barstad. Thanks again!

Happy Halloween from our office staff! We at the Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone to have a fun and safe Halloween.

Sheriff Kvande was honored to cut the ribbon at the opening of the redesigned and remodeled Williams County Downtown Campus. Thank you, to all that participated and attended.

UPDATE: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY – Williams County is closing 3 miles of CR 9 – from Hwy 1804 south to CR 11A (this is the paved portion of CR 9) due to an oil spill. This part of CR 9 will be closed until further notice. Thank you.

FYI: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY - Williams County has closed County Road 6B (154th Ave NW), from 60th St NW north to 61st St NW (1 mile). Thank you!

The Williams County Underwater Search and Recovery team is a huge asset to our area and others. Thank you Sheriff Kvande and Sgt. White for keeping it "afloat."

Our own Sgt. Ben White helping to rescue a seagull, even while it pecked at his hand. We are very proud Sgt. White is part of our team.

With Halloween quickly approaching, Sheriff Kvande would like to remind the community of a few things. Thank you and have fun.

ATTENTION: 8:00am (CT) Effective Immediately, Williams County and Township Gravel and Chip Seal Roads are Restricted to NO OVERWEIGHT TRAVEL due to the Weather and Roadway conditions. This notice will remain in effect until further notice. All previously approved permits are VOID.

Today, some of the Sheriff's Office personnel took a tour of the new Missouri Ridge School. It was nice to visit with the students and familiarize ourselves with the school. In one of the photo's below, you see Sheriff Kvande and Principal Steven Guglich discussing the new school.
