We have mentioned it before, but we have an amazing community. Today there was a fatality accident closing down the highway for several hours. Multiple Deputies, Troopers, and Police were directing traffic. Several individuals dropped off cold Water bottles and Gatorade. We cannot thank you enough. We would also like to thank Nebraska State Patrol, Fremont Nebraska Firefighters, Dispatch, Fremont Rural, NDOT, Fremont Police, Blackburn's Towing, and Arrow Towing.

Our Deputies worked extra hours during the grant to make the county a safer place! Multiple people that were under the influence of drugs or alcohol were stopped before they could do harm to others #DriveSober #ArriveAlive #BuckleUp

The checkpoint last night was a success! Huge thank you to our MADD Nebraska volunteers for coming out and assisting us! As always our goal is for a safer community by taking drugs, guns, and drunks off the road.

Exciting day for us! Today as a Sheriff’s Office we were able to demo a potential drone to add to our tools for public safety. As we carefully test products, a drone would aid our department in such things as accident reconstruction, recovery of missing persons and several other ways to keep the public safe!

Congratulations to Deputy Lopez for completing the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center, and becoming a certified Deputy. Deputy Lopez will return to the road, with 14 weeks of Field Training! Great Work, Be Safe, have a long and healthy career!
