WW reports that Cardi B has turned herself in to authorities and been charged with two misdemeanors for allegedly ordering an attack in a strip club. The famous singer/rapper turned herself in today to New York Police in Flushing. She was soon after arrested and charged with assault and reckless endangerment in relation to an incident that happened on August 29 at 3 a.m. at the Angels Gentlemen’s Club. Cardi B, 25, allegedly threw a chair and hit an unintended person. She will be arraigned in court October 29.
Attorneys for the injured parties say that she had repeatedly threatened them and believes she will be let go due to her celebrity status.
TMZ says that Cardi B was trying to attack two bartenders, Jade and Baddie Gi, who are also sisters. The two women told investigators that Cardi B ordered her entourage to attack them. Jade has had ongoing issues with the starlet because she believes that Jade slept with her husband, even though she has denied it.
Cardi went to the club because her husband, Migos, was performing there. She then allegedly told people that were with her to attack the two bartenders with bottles, chairs and a hookah.
In the past, Jade has claimed Cardi threatened the two in June when they came across each other in Atlanta. Jade was warned that an attack had been planned, and was later attacked by five people who were allegedly part of Cardi’s entourage.
Weeks later, Cardi was at the club on August 29, when the two women were assaulted again.
According to someone associated with Cardi’s group, the attack wasn’t planned and ensued because of a drink being thrown.
