FOX News reports that four suspects have been arrested in connection with two bodies being found in a vehicle under water at a boat launch in Louisiana. Cops are calling the incident a “carjacking gone bad.”

Raegan Elizabeth Day, 20, and Dustin R. Hartline, 28, were found on Monday by a dive team about 40 miles outside of New Orleans. The two were last seen on February 15 leaving their home in a dark blue Chevrolet Camaro to stop by a family member’s home in Kenner and go to the Baton Rouge area.

Family contacted police when the couple never showed up at the Kenner residence.

Four suspects have been arrested and charged with two counts each of first-degree murder: Jason Landry, Brittney “Beezy” Savell, Derrion Lemoine and Steven “Stevie” Oliviere.

Authorities told media sources that the couple travelled to Slidell under the false pretense of selling a vehicle to Savell.

The couple died from gunshot wounds to the head. Police say their bodies were taken to the boat launch after they were killed. Although they were decomposed from being underwater, the coroner identified them via their tattoos.

The suspects were found in Mississippi, and authorities discovered three weapons during the investigation – two of which are believed to be murder weapons in the case.
