Variety reports that a man stole Frances McDormand’s Oscar on Sunday night and has been arrested. Terry Bryant was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department for charges of felony grand theft at 11:50 p.m. He is being held on $20,000 bail.

Bryant allegedly took the actress’s Oscar from her table at the Governors Ball after the Oscar ceremony, just after having it engraved. He was then stopped by Wolfgang Puck’s photographer, as Puck was catering the event. Bryant then returned the Oscar to McDormand and she told security to let him go. Bryant proceeded to go back to the ball.

The Governor’s Ball is the official party after the Academy Awards, and was held in the Ray Dolby Ballroom.

McDormand’s rep confirmed that the Oscar had been returned to her.

47-year-old Bryant even posted videos of himself with the trophy on social media.

McDormand won the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”

Terry Bryant has attended multiple red-carpet events and premieres over the years, as his Facebook and Instagram accounts show photos of him posing with celebrities at the Oscars, Grammys, SAG Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and other events, says the NY Daily News.

Although Bryant never claimed to be the owner of any of the trophies he was previously photographed with, he always just commented he was posing with awards won by his friends.

Bryant has attended premieres for blockbusters such as the “Star Wars” and “Black Panther” movies, and posted photos of himself with Beyonce, Paris Hilton, Jimmy Kimmel, Aretha Franklin, Selenz Gomez, Kristen Stewart, Quincy Jones and DJ Khaled, says the NY Daily News.
