news reports that a soldier and his alleged mistress have been arrested after his wife’s body was found in her car trunk. The Louisiana pair are facing criminal charges after the body of the married soldier’s wife was discovered in the trunk and the mistress's children were in the backseat of the car.

Logan Kyle, 22, and Sarah Parker, 24, were arrested as suspects on Sunday night.

Police received an anonymous tip that a woman was driving around Lake Charles with a dead body in the trunk of the car, and shortly after stopped Parker while she was driving in the area. Kyle was in the passenger seat and Parker’s 1- and 2-year-old children were in the backseat. Police opened the trunk and found the body of Kyle’s wife.

Police believe Kyle killed his wife at Fort Polk, but are not releasing details about how she died or her identity. After his arrest, Kyle was taken into the custody of the U.S. Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Polk. His charges are still pending and he does not have an attorney of record.

Parker was arrested and has been charged with obstruction of justice and failure to report a homicide. Authorities believe the pair were driving around searching for a place to dump the body.

Parker also does not have an attorney of record and has not appeared before a judge to enter her pleas. She is being held on bail, but that amount has not been released.
