WLTX reports that a suspect has been arrested for the weekend shooting in Columbia’s Five Points. Rodriguez Kenatvious Marshall, 19, has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful carrying of a pistol and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
At approximately 2 a.m. on October 6, several men tried to enter the Thirsty Parrot when they were confronted by some of the bar’s employees. One employee got into a fight with one of the men, and Marshall shot a victim in the arm.
Marshall turned himself in to police Monday, and the victim has been treated and released from the hospital.
Police are continuing to review security camera footage of the incident to determine if any other witnesses may have important information regarding the fight and shooting. They are asking anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
