DPW COMMISSIONER GOTTI HAS RELEASED THE FOLLOWING: Comm. of Public Works will be declaring a snow emergency commencing Wednesday morning 3/7/18 at 8am. For the following 24 hours there will be NO PARKING on the ODD side of the street. Commencing Thursday 3/8/18 at 8am and for the following 24 hours there will be NO PARKING on the EVEN side of the street. The snow emergency will terminate on Friday 3/9/18 at 8am. NOTICE - Viall Avenue, where it meets Saratoga Ave on the south side will be closed until the end of business today due to work being done on the corner building. We are not aware at this time if this work will continue tomorrow. Please keep this in mind when traveling in that area.

Sasha's Run is the 2nd annual 5k run/walk in Tallmadge Park established to honor the memory of Sasha Hudson White. Sasha, a beautiful little boy from Mechanicville, passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve 2016 after living only 24 days. The event was created by his family to celebrate life and to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. It will be held on April 22, 2018 and more information is available at the provided link.

**UPDATE** THE SUSPECT VEHICLE HAS BEEN LOCATED. We are currently investigating a hit and run which was caught on camera that occurred Sunday 2/3/18 at approximately 5:20PM at the intersection of South St and 2nd Ave. Anyone who has any information regarding this incident, recognizes this vehicle or one like it with front end passenger damage, please contact the Mechanicville Police Department at 518-664-7383.

Patrols have reported that it appears Ted Baileys Hill/Rt 146 is now open.

Chief Waldron will issue a formal statement on this development soon.

ROAD CLOSURE - STATE POLICE HAVE ADVISED THAT RT 146/TED BAILEY'S HILL HAS BEEN CLOSED DUE TO A TRACTOR TRAILER THAT HAS JACK KNIFED. WILL POST WHEN THEY HAVE ADVISED THE ROAD HAS BEEN REOPENED.

NOTICE - The Department of Public Works has advised that they will be declaring a Snow Emergency beginning February 7, 2018 at 8:00 P.M. All vehicles parked on the city streets should be parked on the EVEN side of the street at this time and remain on the EVEN side for 24 hour until 8:00 P. M. on February 8, 2018. At that time, vehicles should then be moved to the ODD side and remain on the ODD side for the following 24 hours. Any questions can be directed to the Department of Public Works at 518-664-7171.

Getting ready for the active shooter drill.

The Mechanicville Police Department will be participating in an active shooter drill with the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and other local agencies tomorrow morning at DeCrescente Distributing. There will be a large gathering of law enforcement officers and media will likely be present. During the drill simulated gunshots may be heard in the area. The drill will commence at about 8am.
