THIS WEEKEND we are partnering with Kroger and will be participating in the National Drug Take-Back Initiative. On Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 10am to 2pm we will be at Kroger, 2917 W. Alex Bell Rd. in Moraine, to collect unused and unwanted prescriptions. The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. The Moraine Police Division will only accept prescriptions in pill form. If you have a prescription that is a liquid we suggest putting it in an absorbent material to dispose of it. We hope to see you there.

We would like to thank Shiver Security Systems, Inc. and Sonitrol of SW Ohio for taking the time to recognize some great police work by our officers. On September 30th, officers responded to an alarm activation at a business on E. River Rd. Upon determining that someone had forced entry into the building, the officers began investigating and searching the area for suspects. Within minutes the officers located a male walking down the bike path directly behind the business. The male was questioned and found to be in possession of items that came from the business. He was ultimately arrested and booked into jail. Thank you Shiver Security Systems, Inc. and Sonitrol of SW Ohio for taking the time to recognize our officers and their efforts in this case.

UPDATE; The roadway is now open. Our crews are currently working an accident that has left Springboro Pk. shutdown between W. Stroop Rd. and Northlawn Ave. The road is expected to be closed for the next 4 hours.
