******** Road Closure********* Hwy 70 is closed at Waurika and Ringling due to a Gas Truck that has over turned.. Please avoid this area at this time we are redirecting traffic to Hwy 32 or Hwy 53. There is no ETA at this time on when we will be able to reopen the highway due to cleanup efforts and environmental concerns!!!

Just a friendly reminder school starts Wednesday August 8th. Please watch you speed in the school zone. Please watch for kids crossing streets before and after school.

In the evening hours of 8/1/2018 Asst Chief Mashore stopped a vehicle for a routine traffic violation. After further investigation, the driver was subsequently taken into custody. The subject could face Felony Charges of DUI Drugs, Poss CDS METH and other misc traffic violations. Ringling Police would like the community to know we are taking a stance against drugs. Ringling Police have recently gone around to our local Business's within the community. We are working on updates for EMERGENCY BUSINESS CONTACT INFORMATION. This is in the event something happens after hours or while a business is closed and contact can be made to better assist our community as a whole!!! However, in some cases we may need your help due to the establishment is not open. This includes our religious services or Church's!! If you are or would like to be an Emergency contact for your church please stop by the Police Department and provide the information at your convenience. The Ringling Police Department would like to once again thank everyone who assisted with the large structure fire in Ringling at 3rd & Main. Everyone came together within the community to fight the loss of a long time business within the town. A special thank you to all of the citizens within the community who helped!!! As always thank you again to everyone who aided by emergency response from the surrounding areas for a total of 17 departments. Everyone's help was greatly appreciated!!!

On this date the Ringling Police Department received information that the firearm previously reported stolen from a member of the community has been RECOVERED!!! Assistant Chief Mashore had taken the report in early June 2018 and there were very little leads in the investigation. The Ringling Police Department is Extremely Happy to report through the hard work the rightful owners property will be given back to them and one subject has been taken into custody pending criminal charges!! Thank you to all those who assisted the Ringling PD in the investigation!!!

Missing Person Fahria Elizabeth Hoque W/F 18 Y/O DOB: 03-28-2000 4ft. 11 inches 125lbs Have a cancer symbol tattooed on her left inner arm in the wrist area and a music symbol on her right thigh Brown hair with reddish tent Has tongue ring and lip piercing Brown eyes Last seen wearing gray and black tights with leopard print, black spaghetti strap shirt Last time her mother has talk to her was 6-23-2018 at approximately 2130 hours. Mother stated she could hear a male in the back ground telling her to get off of phone. Fahria has several medical problems and does not have her medicine with her. She was last seen with a Johnny Wayne Rogers DOB: 07/24/1981. They were seen driving a dark blue F-350 with no tags leaving the Ringling area. She could possibly be in the Cushing, Oklahoma area. Johnny is supposed to be working in the oil field in that area. If contact is made please contact the Ringling Police Department. 580-662-2666

****ATTENTION**** The Ringling Police has been advised by local business owners of other citizens of the community dumping of household trash or other items in their trash recepticals. THEY ASK YOU TO NOT DO THIS!!! Prohibited by law without the OWNERS consent you may not place items on their PROPERTY or of any other owners property. By doing so the accused could possibly face criminal charges if found to be committing such acts!!! Thank You for your assistance within this matter.

Ringling Police Department Active Warrant List Effective 6/21/2018 revised. If you or someone you know has an Active Warrant Please take care of it ASAP!

On 6/3/2018 Ringling Police was requested to investigate allegations that one or more subjects were concealing stolen property within Ringling City Limits. Upon completion of the investigation Ringling Officers were able to take a subject into custody after finding a value estimated at $4,000.00 Dollars of stolen property concealed with the subject. Teaming with the Carter County Sheriff's Department and WORKING TOGETHER the rightful owner received property back that night!!! Carter County is still investigating the theft within their department. EXCELLENT WORK!!! to BOTH agencies and ALL officers involved in the solving of this case!

A member of your community needs your help!The Ringling Police has recently taken a report of a stolen firearm and the suspect is still at large. The photo below is the manual but the owners gun is the same however all black. The suspect sought is Jacob Shannon Snyder. The serial number to the weapon is 180691. Let's come together and help another Ringling Citizen get there property back! If you have any information on the firearm or the whereabouts of the suspect please contact the Ringling Police immediately.

On 6/5/2018 Chief Steury conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in Ringling, Ok. While doing so he had reasonable suspicion to believe further criminal activity was involved. He requested special investigations teams including the agencie's Drug Recognition Expert and a K-9 unit from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Subsequently the operator of the vehicle was arrested and is being held on multiple criminal charges ranging from Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Substances, Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Great work to both agencies and officers involved. Good Eye Chief.

In the late evening hours of 6/3/2018 Officer Mashore stopped a motorcycle after observing a traffic violation in Ringling, Ok. Upon completion and throughout the investigation Officer Mashore was able to locate over 100 Grams of Methamphetamine that the operator had within their possession. Chief Steury and Officer Mashore would like the public to know that the Department is truly working with the community to make it a safer environment for everyone. They are listening and only want the very best for Ringling and the citizens who reside and visit the Town. The operator could be facing charges extending to not less than Trafficking Illegal Drugs and Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substances.

On the evening of May 19, 2018 Officers with the Ringling Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office were involved in a High Speed Pursuit reaching speeds over 100MPH. We would like to let the citizens know that the suspect has been taken into custody at this time. A huge thank you to Carter and Love County Sheriff's offices for assisting our departments with the pursuit and investigation. No parties were injured resulting in the pursuit.
