****** PRESS RELEASE ****** The Waurika Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriffs Office,District 6 Drug Task Force and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics served a Search Warrant in the 700 Block of East B Street in Waurika, OK this morning. One subject was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Jefferson County Jail on multiple Drug and Weapons Charges. This was possible by information provided by the Citizens of Jefferson County. Together we will continue to rid our county of illegal drugs. The JCSO would like to remind the Citizens if you see any illegal activity in your area to contact us. You can remain anonymous.

In reference to the incident that occurred in Ryan on 4-27-2017 involving Charles Ritchey, that individual is now in custody!! Everyone can rest easy tonight! We would like to thank all the agency's involved in the search!

The vehicle that was stolen this morning has been recovered in Texas.

Stolen from Waurika this morning a 2009 Toyota Tacoma, 4X4, flat bed, Maroon in color. Tag # Ok 306RCF. Please contact Waurika PD if you have any information about this vehicle. (580) 228-2374.

With recent rains, everyone be careful while driving. Water is up over a few roads, please don't try to drive through standing water! Turn around don't drown!!

Yesterday morning an inmate had walked away from the work center! A lengthy search by the Waurika Police Department, and the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office ended safely with 2 Waurika Officers along with Waurika K-9 (Craigo) finding the subject under a pickup. The Waurika Police Department would like to thank all assisting agencies in the search!

In the event of severe weather, the Elementary School will be opened and available for anyone to use for shelter! If you do not have a safe place to go, feel free to go to the School!

On 3-29-2016 at approximately 2045 hours a traffic stop was conducted, and 1 white male was arrested for drug and paraphernalia charges.

On 2-26-2016, a traffic stop was conducted, and 1 arrest was made for poss of drug paraphernalia, and poss of a controlled dangerous substance. (Methamphetamine)

Waurika Police Department made 3 arrests in the 500 Block of East D today in reference to narcotic activity. We are seeking warrants for additional individuals. Jefferson County Deputies assisted our department in these arrests.
