In recent weeks several residents have notified us of phone messages left for them from someone claiming to be some sort of government agency with arrest warrants for the resident. The message goes on to state that there are charges against them and if they do not call the number provided the local police would arrest them. This is a scam! Do not respond! Do not call these scammers back, do not provide them any personal information and do not pay them any money. The Easton Police Department and it's officers will identify themselves by name and badge number if and when they call for any reason. All payments for legitimate warrants and restitution go through the court system. Thank you and we continue to serve.
