Promotion Day Sergeant Tyler Lufkin to Lieutenant Detective Bryan McManus to Sergeant

PRESS RELEASE During the last two weeks the Town has seen an increase in house breaks. These house breaks have taken place in the west end of the Town. One house break that happened on Waterford Drive is possibly related to the Coventry PD’s arrest of Joseph Cevoli on June 6th. That connection is still being investigated. At this time, three recent house breaks on Juniper Drive, Shady Hill Drive and Princess Pine Drive appear to be related. Each residence was entered during the early evening between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Each house was unoccupied at the time and in at least two of the house breaks ladders were used to access the roof and enter through a second floor window. These house breaks appear to be committed by the same individuals. At this time there are three unknown suspects who were captured on video surveillance. The suspects appear to all be dressed the same and can be seen wearing masks and gloves. They utilized flashlights to maneuver in the dark. Items such as jewelry have been targeted. At this time the EGPD asks the residents to be aware of their surroundings, report any suspicious activity to the Department and to secure their residences. Any information and/or suspicious activity can be reported by calling 884-2244 or 911 if there’s an emergency. Thank you, Det. Lt. Jeremy A. However, we do not have any barricades left to set it up. Please advise walkers to stay on the sidewalks in this area as traffic will not be controlled. If we get some barricades we will get them over there. The applicant was advised. Stay Safe Everone
