Bryan Police Investigate Aggravated Robbery On October 25, 1018 at approximately 9:00 PM Officers responded to Auto Zone located at 1640 S. Texas Ave for an aggravated robbery that just occurred. A male entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded money. The male fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident. The suspect is described as: Male Approximately 5’6” Approximately 160-180lbs Wearing light colored pants and dark shirt.

Traffic Advisory: Lights are out at Coulter and E. 29th due to an accident. Temporary 4-way stop signs will be placed at the intersection. Please expect delays if you use this intersection.

On October 21, 2018, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Officers responded to the 3900 block of Hwy 47/Riverside Pkwy for a major accident. A Ford F450 work truck was traveling Northbound in the left-hand lane when it was struck head-on by a Chevy Suburban traveling the wrong direction in the Northbound left lane. The F450 then struck a four-door Cadillac traveling North in the right-hand lane causing the truck to roll onto its cab. An off-duty Constable drove up onto the scene and observed that the cab of the F450 was on fire. The Constable put out the fire and helped Medics extract the driver who was unconscious at the time. The driver of the F450 was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital and is listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The Cadillac was occupied by two adults and two children, ages 1 and 2, who were all transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where they were treated and released with minor injuries. The driver of the Suburban, a 46-year-old male, was deceased at the scene and alcohol is believed to have contributed to the accident. The name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification. update: Hwy 47 is open AVOID Hwy 47 Northbound between Leonard Rd and Silver Hill. The NB lanes are closed due to a major accident.

Bryan Police Investigate Aggravated Assault On October 18, 2018 at approximately 11:15 am Officer responded to the 1100 block of Verde for an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Based on preliminary information a verbal argument between two individuals escalated into a truck intentionally hitting a 37 year old male in the 1100 block of Verde. The 37 year old victim was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital with minor injuries. Suspect Description: White or Hispanic Male Age 20-30 Driving a dark dually The Bryan Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 979-209-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS (8477).
