Marijuana, an Assault Rifle, Hand guns and money were all seized by Sheriff's Deputies along with the Tactical Respose Team (TRT) early Wednesday evening in West Odessa. The search warrant was conducted at approximately 7:30 p.m. at 10403 W. 16th and one person was arrested. The Ector County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for any information regarding a theft that occurred at the Spanish Shield Liquor store, 4750 W. University on September 23, 2018 At approximately 8:28 p.m. on that date, a male subject entered the store and took two bottles of liquor without paying for it. Suspect is described as a Hispanic male, mid- twenties, approximately 5’8” tall. Suspect fled the scene in a grey vehicle, unknown direction of travel. If anyone has information regarding this suspect, please contact the Ector County Sheriff’s Office at 432-335-3050 and ask for Investigator Cody Smith (Surveillance photos attached) Sgt. Saturday, November 3rd, there will be an "EMERGENCY DRILL taking place at the ECTOR COUNTY COURTHOUSE from about 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The large "police presence" in and around the courthouse is only a DRILL and there is nothing to be concerned about.
