It is my last day as Chief of Jonesville Police Department. I would like to take a moment and thank all the Jonesville officers who I have been blessed to have worked with. I know without a doubt, Jonesville is in good hands with the officers we have. Each one of them will continue to give their all, do their best, and treat everyone fair and show respect, as they enforce the laws of Virginia and protect and serve the community. Thank you to all the officers in Pennington Gap and Lee County, Sheriff Parsons and his deputies! They all are well trained, professional, and do a heck of a job. I’m proud to have worked with you! We all worked well together, and didn’t care who got credit. It is all about keeping those we serve safe. Thank each one of you for your kindness and help when needed. May god bless each one of you, the town of Jonesville, and the surrounding communities in Lee County. God-speed! Chief Sivert
