We have read on social media several cities affected by irresponsible drivers. Please help us prevent these incidents by properly stopping for busses and watching out for our children. If you see someone pass a Bus with their red lights on get the license plate and call us! Stay safe!

We wanted to thank Harrison Middle School for inviting us to their September 11th ceremony. The messages shared helped us all reflect on not only the tremendous loss our country felt 17 years ago, but also the feeling of unity many of us experienced. As a Police Department, we are committed to public trust and your safety. We ask that if you see something suspicious you let us know, and together we will ensure that Sunnyside stays a safe place to live and work.

They grow up so fast 😢! We hope everyone has a great first day of school! 🚗 To drivers out there ...please be aware of children walking to and from school and remember to stop for pedestrians! Safe travels!

**UPDATE** The goats were picked up by their owner. Thanks for spreading the word! A few nights back SSPD officers came across two goats wandering around the city. Although the Chief has a strict anti-goat rule here at the PD, the animal loving officers decided to throw caution to the wind and bring them back to the office. Even though they have been great guests, the Chief has ordered an extensive search to find their owners. If your goats went missing recently, give us a call at 509-837-2120. If you can positively ID them, the Chief would be extremely grateful if you came and go(a)t them.
