Mineral County Sheriffs Office: The search continues for a Burlington man wanted in Mineral County on drug charges. According to Mineral County Sheriff Jeremy Taylor early Sunday morning deputies were called out to Knobley Road in Burlington for a report of a suspicious vehicle. When deputies arrived one man fled on foot and was identified as Rodney VanMeter of Burlington. He fled into a wooded area. As he was running he dropped firearms and suspected chrystal meth. Also in the car were Ronnie Arnold, Nicole Delawder and Joseph Leatherman. All three were arrested and face drug charges. K-9 units and Trooper 5 were called in to assist with the search for VanMeter. A short time later another vehicle was found at the scene and Amber Saville, VanMeters girlfriend had allegedly been in contact with him and had driven him back to the scene to recover the items he had dropped while fleeing. She was arrested for obstruction and he remains at large. Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Mineral County Sheriff's Office.

Prayers for the co-workers, friends and family of the Frederick County Deputy and his wife. Our sympathies to the Family and Friends of Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputy, Randall Hensley and his wife Missy. Both were tragically killed while riding their motorcycle in Page County, Va. Please keep their family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. You both will be missed by so many. 💙

Have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend!!
