SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS OFFERING PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2018. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office will be at two locations on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 from 10:00AM through 2:00PM to take back any unwanted, unused, prescription, or over the counter drugs. The Sheriff’s Department will join other local law enforcement agencies in continuing this successful program for county residents. The two locations are the Safeway Grocery Store and Pharmacy at 700 South Greeley Highway, and Laramie County Fire District #2 at 5800 North College. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office has taken in over 2,100 pounds of unused and unwanted prescription drugs since the program inception. The purpose of these Drug Take Back Days is to allow citizens to safely dispose of unused or unwanted prescription drugs in an environmentally safe manner and keep those drugs out of the hands of unauthorized persons or juveniles. Drugs that have been taken in have ranged from over the counter drugs to narcotic prescription pills and liquids. Once again, no illegal drugs, sharps, thermometers, oxygen containers, radioactive materials, pressurized containers, or chemotherapy drugs will be accepted. We ran this one back in July and were unable to get an ID on our suspect. Here it is again with some better pictures. We need your help identifying the suspect pictured below. He burglarized T-Joes bar in the early morning hours of Monday July 23, 2018. Warrant Wednesday The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information on the whereabouts of Shaun Arradondo. Shawn is a 31 year old male, 5’11” 160 lbs. with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a warrant for bond revocation, original charge of possession of meth with intent to deliver. CRIME STOPPERS SILENT WITNESS CRIME OF THE WEEK WEEK OF: 10/12/2018 THROUGH 10/18/2018 The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information related to a larceny that occurred in the 700 block of Sunridge Dr. Between September 11th and the 12th, a Honda S3500 generator was taken from the bed of a pickup. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a train derailment 18 miles west of Cheyenne near the Harriman exit on I-80 at around 7:45 p.m. last night. A train carrying mixed freight traveling east bound collided with the rear of another train that was stopped on the track. One crew member died and another is still missing in the wreckage as of 9:30 this morning; the two crew members in the train that was stopped on the track were checked out at CRMC and released. Personnel from Region 7 Hazmat, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie County Emergency Management and the Salvation Army assisted at the scene. The National Transportation Safety Board was notified arrived within a few hours to take over the scene and investigate the derailment. Our thought and prayers go out to the deceased and missing crew members.
